In October 2016 several members and friends enjoyed a three day walking break in the Yorkshire Dales, based at HF Newfield Hall, Airton, Malhamdale.
On day one we explored the delights of Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove, with its limestone pavement. The following day we walked the ridge from Kettlewell to Grassington and on our final day we visited local villages including Kirby Malham with its magnificent church and watery grave, returning alongside the River Aire. Some of us made use of the swimming pool on our return from the walks and evenings were spent socialising over meals, followed by quizzes and games. |
